Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original scholarly works that are relevant to the focus and scope of the Journal of Teaching and Learning in Early Childhood Education (JELITA). Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts comply with the following guidelines before submission.

1. General Requirements

  1. The manuscript must be an original scholarly work related to early childhood education, teaching, learning, or child development.

  2. The manuscript must not have been previously published or submitted to another journal for consideration.

  3. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality, accuracy, and academic integrity of their submitted manuscript.

  4. The manuscript should provide a clear academic contribution to the field of early childhood education.

2. Manuscript File

  1. Manuscripts should be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document format.

  2. The manuscript should be prepared according to the journal's required format and structure.

  3. Figures, tables, and other supporting materials should be placed appropriately within the manuscript text.

  4. Authors should ensure that the submitted file is complete and readable before submission.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should ensure that the manuscript:

  1. Has a clear and informative title.

  2. Contains the names and affiliations of all authors.

  3. Includes an appropriate abstract and relevant keywords.

  4. Presents the research background, objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions where applicable.

  5. Uses appropriate academic language and terminology.

  6. Provides relevant and properly cited references.

  7. Uses italics instead of underlining, except for URLs where necessary.

  8. Uses single line spacing and 12-point font as currently specified in the journal's submission requirements.

4. Tables and Figures

  1. Tables and figures should be placed within the manuscript text at appropriate locations.

  2. Each table and figure should have a clear title or caption.

  3. Tables and figures must be relevant to the content of the manuscript.

  4. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all tables, figures, and other materials are properly acknowledged when obtained from other sources.

5. References and Citations

  1. All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the reference list.

  2. Authors should provide complete and accurate bibliographic information for all references.

  3. Authors are encouraged to provide URLs for references where available.

  4. Sources obtained from other works must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.

  5. Authors should ensure consistency between in-text citations and the reference list.

6. Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with accepted standards of academic and research integrity. Manuscripts must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Where applicable, authors should ensure that research involving children or other participants has been conducted in accordance with appropriate ethical principles and institutional requirements.

7. Authorship

  1. All listed authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript.

  2. All authors should approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  3. Any changes to authorship after submission should be communicated to and approved by the editorial team.

8. Submission Process

Authors must register with JELITA before submitting a manuscript. Registered authors may log in to the journal system and follow the submission process provided by the journal.

Authors should ensure that all required submission information and files are completed before finalizing the submission.

9. Revision and Editorial Process

Submitted manuscripts are subject to editorial evaluation and review according to the journal's applicable editorial procedures. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on editorial or reviewer comments.

Authors are expected to respond to revision requests carefully and submit the revised manuscript within the timeframe provided by the editorial team.

10. Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submitted manuscripts, including the accuracy of data, statements, citations, references, and other information presented in the article.

By submitting a manuscript to JELITA, authors acknowledge that they have read and understood the journal's submission requirements and agree to comply with the applicable publication policies.
